Bella Home Builders, Inc. is a true reflection of its founder and president, David DePaulo. His traits were shaped by humble beginnings. He believes in honesty, hard work, attention to detail and a passion to design and build. As a third generation builder, he recalls his grandfather building and designing projects throughout the Capital Region. His values have been instilled “to do what’s right, be honest and fair.” We choose not to be a high volume company. We build a house as perfect as we can at a competitive price. We keep our promises— building should and can be stress free.

Our Vice President and on-site manager, Tanner Duguid, is also a third generation builder. Tanner is well known for his attention to detail and having “zero tolerance.” Our demands and requirements of our workers are far above average. We know we are only as good as the people around us. We employ only the finest, most talented craftsman in their field. Our extreme high quality of work and craftsmanship has been consistently recognized, year after year, in the “Showcase of Homes” and the “Parade of Homes.” The award that we are most proud of and have won every year is the prestigious “Quality Workmanship Award.” We have also earned the “People’s Choice Award” and “Realtor Choice Award.” Our customers will tell you we build each and every home as if it was our own. Dave graduated from the College of Saint Rose with a Bachelors of Science degree in 1985. He entered into the insurance industry building an agency from the ground up. The DePaulo Insurance Agency Inc. had its first location in Scotia, NY. It was such a success, a second agency was opened in 1995 in East Greenbush, NY. Over the past several years, the agencies have been awarded and recognized countless times for profitability. There are total of 14 employees in the firm. Dave still resides on the Advisory Boards for many insurance companies.

Several years ago, Dave returned full time to his love and passion of creating and building custom homes. Dave is married with 3 children.
